Privacy policy

This policy explains what SheetModel collects, what stays on your device, and how advertising works on this site. The short version: your calculator inputs never leave your browser, we do not require an account, and the only third-party data collection is standard advertising and analytics.

Information you enter into a calculator

All calculations run in your browser. Purchase prices, rents, supplier costs and every other input stay on your device. They are stored in your browser’s localStorage so that returning to a page restores your previous numbers, and they are never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser storage removes them permanently.

Excel workbooks are generated locally using the SheetJS library. Nothing is uploaded, and no file is created on a server — the download is assembled in memory and handed directly to your browser.

Information we collect automatically

• Standard server logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, retained for security and abuse prevention.
• Aggregate analytics: page views, referrers, approximate geography and device type — used to understand which models are useful.
• Advertising identifiers: set by our advertising partners, as described below.

Advertising

This site is supported by display advertising served by Adsterra (including its Social Bar product). Adsterra and its advertising partners may set cookies, use web beacons and process device and browser information — including IP address and approximate location — to select, deliver, cap the frequency of and measure ads. This is standard third-party advertising, and it takes place on pages that carry ad placements.

• The ad units on this site are banners displayed inside a fixed-size container, plus an optional Social Bar widget. A Social Bar can present an overlay that expands or opens an additional window; you can dismiss it, and it can be turned off for the whole site from our side at any time.
• Adsterra’s own handling of data is described in the Adsterra privacy policy. Industry opt-out tools are available from the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative. All three links were checked during the advertising integration; the two opt-out portals rate-limit automated requests, so they may occasionally ask you to retry.
• If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, personalised advertising is only served where consent has been obtained. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings or contacting us.
• You can block or delete cookies, and block advertising domains, in your browser settings without losing access to any calculator or download on this site.
• Every ad placement uses a fixed-size container reserved before the ad loads, so advertising cannot shift the content you are reading.

We do not sell personal information. Calculator inputs are never shared with advertisers or any third party — they stay in your browser. Advertisers receive impression, click and aggregate measurement data only.

Cookies

• Essential: none required. The site works with all cookies blocked.
• Preference: browser storage remembers your calculator inputs locally.
• Analytics and advertising: set by third parties — currently Adsterra for advertising, and Cloudflare Web Analytics when enabled — each subject to its own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not maintain accounts or store calculator inputs, most requests relate to advertising identifiers held by third parties. Write to models@sheetmodel.com and we will help route the request.

Children

This site is intended for adults operating businesses and investments. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Data retention and security

Server logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days. The site is served over HTTPS with standard security headers. Because no user data is stored server-side, there is no user database to breach.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
